July already where has the year gone?
When you move into a village like ours it’s all a bit daunting, what to do, where to go, and for some, to meet new people, is difficult, so we try to connect and help all of our new people adjust so on Wednesday we had a Morning Tea for all of the new residents, 30 newbies attended along with some of your social club co coordinators.
We all enjoyed finding out about all of the activities and of course that famous “Victoria Sponge” from Currimundi Baker, it was the most enjoyable morning.
There is a hive of activity within our retirement village, new decks being built, houses being painted inside and out, also renovations happening inside, along with the recent rains the village is looking really green and your gardens as well.
I guess we all have pride in where we live and want to have everything looking good, the new residents certainly keep us all on our toes, with new ideas for renovating, planning our gardens and the choice of whether to put a deck on or not, so decks are popping up everywhere all council approved.
Here at the village we have our “Christmas in July” dinner dance happening on the 30 July and then in September our annual “Talent Evening”
This awesome evening with so much talent in the village, it’s hard to fit in all of the acts. Always a must attend evening Saturday 17 September 2016.
