Here we are in September already; the year is going sooo quickly. Our gardens are looking so good as Trev and Scott are busily planting; the village is looking really clean and fresh.
Our new image has really taken off with some houses selling before they even hit our Caloundra Gardens Retirement Village website. It’s always lovely to walk around and talk to all of the residents here.
At our Caloundra Retirement Village we celebrated one of our residents 80th Birthday Party, along with all of his family, one son he had not seen for 15yrs, 130 of his friends from the village. With the bar opening at 5pm, we danced all night to the sounds of “Totally Charlie” what a fantastic evening. As well as celebrating Ian’s birthday we also celebrated his wife Marcia’s birthday on the Monday following. I’m sure a few sore feet for a few days.
On the 19th September we will have our monthly dinner and be entertained by the Village Residents as part of our “Talent Night”. We have some very talented residents at the Caloundra Gardens Retirement Village, we have loads of acts planned like singing, line dancing, Latin line dancing, a few skits to name a few, more on that in the next news blog. Dinner is always delicious for $14.00 per person. The bar will be open from 5pm for this special dinner.
“A Spud night” a lot of people asked ….. yes a spud night, something new for dinner, a rather large potato cut in the centre filled with your choice of topping…. Will let you know how this goes as soon as it’s held ……
In Between all of this we have our regular Games night; complete with a pie and peas, and Trivia night where we have some yummy Pizzas of our choice all delivered to our wonderful community hall.
Till next time. Smile and be happy………
